Clover companion for a liquor well

Clover liquor inventory that counts the well

Clover runs the tickets. Open house pours still need a count. ExactPour is the companion for independent bars and pubs, not a second register.

Does Clover do liquor inventory for a well?

Last updated

Clover holds items and tickets. It does not count open well bottles or reconcile those fills against what rang. ExactPour connects to Clover, imports sales, and compares them to a physical count. The retired thin /solutions/clover-pos-inventory-integration URL still 301s to /pos-integrations. This page is the deeper Clover plus well loop. See /pricing for the trial.

Clover for tickets, ExactPour for the well

01

Authorize Clover

Official connection for that location. Tokens sit in a vault. Everyday sync does not rewrite the menu.

02

Map the well drinks

House pours first. Unmapped vodka sodas make a careful count look like theft.

03

Count and compare

Close the rail. Projected usage from Clover meets the physical fills the next morning.

The problem

Clover knows the ticket. The well is still a feeling.

A Clover total is not item-level usage

Pasting a sales export into a sheet is not reconciliation. House pours still leave in ounces Clover never saw.

Independent rooms hide the leak on the rail

Clover is common in neighborhood bars and pubs. Those rooms lose dollars on well vodka while the register looks fine.

The old integration page was a clone

A thin Clover connector lander taught Google nothing new. This URL is the well job, not another /pos-integrations copy.

The solution

Clover for tickets, ExactPour for the well

Authorize Clover, map the drinks that leave the rail, count open fills, and review poured versus sold in dollars.

Count any bottle with your phone camera

Scan once, count everything.

Scan any UPC with a phone or handheld, tap a fill level, and ExactPour aggregates scans per product and auto-computes volume in real time. Undo and inline edits keep counts honest.

Fill-level tracking

Partial bottles, not just whole counts.

Every scan records a fill level from 0 to 1 and computes volume as size times fill, so you track real stock instead of rounding to the nearest bottle.

POS integration

Toast, Square, Clover, and GoTab are live.

Connect Toast, Square, Clover, or GoTab to a location. Menus and sales import on a schedule or when you ask. POS credentials are stored encrypted.

See the gaps in dollars, and close them

Surface the gaps. Explain them.

Items that drift beyond tolerance are flagged (>10% warning, >5% info). Close each out with a reason (breakage, theft, over-pour, measurement error) and notes.

Pour cost & margin

Know the cost of every drink.

Cost per serving is computed from live bottle pricing and recipe ounces, so you see pour cost and margin per menu item and can price with confidence.

See whether losses line up with who worked

A coaching prompt, not proof.

Log your staff schedule and see whether losses run higher on the stretches certain people worked. A coaching prompt, not proof.

Integrates with the POS you already run

Sales sync nightly · No rip and replace

The Clover companion loop, not a second POS

Clover liquor inventory is a companion job, not a clone of the POS hub

Why this URL is not the old Clover integration page

Search Console still shows impressions on clover pos inventory integration. That page was a thin connector clone. It now 301s to POS integrations on purpose. Recreating it would repeat the adjective-lander collapse that once cut weekly impressions from about 1,200 to 300. This page is a new job: Clover plus a liquor well in a casual bar or pub.

Toast already has toast liquor inventory. Square and GoTab stay on the hub unless a distinct well story appears. Clover earned its own deep page because independent rooms search Clover inventory integration and need the well half of the loop, not another four-brand brochure. POS integrations remains the connector guide.

What Clover does and what it does not

Clover rings items, open tabs, and modifiers. It can store a catalog. It does not walk your speed rail. It does not estimate an open well vodka. It does not tell you whether Saturday's tickets match the ounces that left the bottle. Operators who treat Clover inventory as finished are looking at sales and calling it stock.

ExactPour authorizes Clover for a location, imports items and sales, and uses the same recipe map as Toast, Square, and GoTab. Everyday sync does not rewrite your Clover menu. Tokens sit in a vault. You keep the register you already trained the staff on. The companion job is the count and the morning list.

Map the well before you interpret a short bottle

Unmapped Clover items make a careful count look like theft. A well vodka soda hiding as a modifier, a brunch cocktail on a food menu, a pitcher that is one line with no recipe: those are the first twenty maps. Cover charges, merch, and food should not hit a bottle. Mark them as such.

When a seasonal item appears in Clover, map it the same week. When it disappears, archive the mapping. Rooms that connect once and never look at the catalog again will get a clean dashboard of the wrong world. well liquor inventory is the rail. This page is the Clover half of that rail.

A Clover pub after a regulars night

The room rings 220 tickets on Clover. House whiskey rides with the food menu. The closer scans the rail in ten minutes. Morning shows house whiskey short 0.9 liters versus mapped sales. Two modifiers were never attached to the well SKU. After those recipes are mapped, the gap falls to 0.2 liters. That is a pour conversation, not a police conversation.

Without the count, Clover only showed a normal Thursday. Without the mapping, the count looked like a missing bottle. That is why this page exists. Clover liquor inventory is a finished night plus a mapped catalog plus a morning list. ExactPour will not publish a recovered dollar figure for this example. It will keep the tickets and the fills in one product.

Clover in one room, Toast in another

Groups mix POS brands. ExactPour does not force one register on the company. Each location keeps its own connector. Rollups compare reconciled dollars after each room has a count and a map. Do not start with the rollup. Start with one Clover well. multi location bar inventory is the page after that well is honest.

If two rooms share a liquor cage, count that cage as its own location or record the transfer. Clover will not know a case moved downstairs unless you name the move. Unrecorded transfers are how mixed-POS groups invent theft on both sides of the stairs.

What we will not claim

We will not claim ExactPour is Clover Inventory. We will not claim we place distributor orders as part of everyday sync. We will not claim a connection alone stops theft. A connection plus a finished count plus mapped recipes plus a Monday review is the loop.

We will also not revive the thin Clover clone. One hub for connectors. One deep page for Clover liquor. One deep page for Toast liquor. That split is how we avoid the impression drop that follows near-duplicate landers. best bar inventory software stays the buying guide.

A Clover trial checklist that respects service

Authorize Clover. Scan the rail. Map twenty items. Close two nights. Review the top ten unexplained dollars. Do not rebuild the cellar. Do not pause Friday service for training. If the closer cannot finish, the product failed. If Monday is a short list, you have a companion.

POS reconciliation is on Starter at $59/month and during the 14-day trial. Free is counting only, which is still useful while you wait to authorize Clover. See pricing. Keep ringing. Count the well. That is Clover liquor inventory as ExactPour ships it.

Authorization failures that look like shrink

If sales look too small and the well looks stolen, confirm the Clover merchant and location you authorized is the one that rings the well. Groups trip on this. The pub rings on one device setup and the office authorized another because the name looked similar.

Clover support can help you check permissions. They cannot count your well. Do not open a Clover ticket that says inventory is wrong because a bottle is light. Open an ExactPour review with the count, the mapped item, and the night. POS integrations lists the authorize-map-reconcile pattern for every brand. This page is the Clover-specific failure stories next to that pattern.

Sports bars, pubs, and independent rooms on Clover

Neighborhood sports bars and pubs are the ICP. A Clover sports bar feels game day in the well before it sees it in a weekly export. A Clover pub feels regulars comps the same way. sports bars and pubs speak to those rooms. This page speaks to the connector those rooms already bought.

If you are still counting in a sheet and pasting Clover exports, read bar inventory spreadsheet alternative. If shrinkage is the search you actually meant, read how to reduce liquor shrinkage. Keep this page when the question is: we already have Clover, why is the well still a mystery?

How this page links the rest of the cluster

The POS cluster pillar is POS integrations. The Toast sibling is toast liquor inventory. The liquor pillar is liquor inventory management. The well page is well liquor inventory. The stocktake ritual is bar stocktaking. Use those links. Do not turn this URL into a second hub.

Start the 14-day trial, authorize Clover, and close one well count. Or read pricing if you want the tier map first. Book 30 minutes if you want a specialist on the mapping. Bring the closer who will actually scan. Leave the unused back bar bottles for week two.

What a Clover count session actually records

A Clover companion count is not a clipboard of sealed cases. It is the open well bottles in the same order every night, each recorded as a fill from empty to full, plus any sealed backups on that rail. The closer scans a barcode or taps a married slot. ExactPour stores the session against that location. Clover already stored the tickets. Morning compares the two.

House vodka, house whiskey, house gin, house rum, house tequila, the house triple sec, and the house sour mix if you treat it as a counted item: that is the first pass. Call brands wait until the rail is honest. A room that counts twenty call bottles and skips the well is counting the museum and ignoring the business. well liquor inventory is the ritual. This page is why Clover tickets belong in that ritual.

If a bottle is swapped mid-shift, marry the new UPC to the same slot before the next count. Clover does not know you changed the sticker. The count will look like a new SKU with no sales history. That is not shrink. That is a catalog that drifted from the rail. Fix the marriage, then interpret the gap.

Modifiers, comps, and happy hour that hide in Clover

Clover modifiers are where well pours disappear. A vodka soda sold as a soda with a vodka add-on, a well old fashioned sold as a whiskey plus a house recipe modifier, a pitcher that is one line with no ounce split: those tickets look complete at the register and empty at the bottle. Map the modifier to the rail SKU or mark the item as a recipe that consumes that SKU.

Comps and manager voids still leave the well. Clover can flag a zero-dollar ticket. It cannot put the ounces back. If you comp regulars on house whiskey, map that item and accept the usage. Variance that is really hospitality should be labeled as such on Monday, not treated as theft. how to reduce liquor shrinkage covers the difference. This page is the Clover-shaped version of that mistake.

Happy hour price changes do not change the recipe. A well highball at four dollars still pours the same vodka as a well highball at seven. Rooms that rebuild mappings every time a promo starts will invent shrink on Tuesday. Leave the recipe. Change the price in Clover. ExactPour cares about ounces versus tickets, not about the happy hour sticker.

When Clover liquor inventory is not the page you need

If you have not chosen a POS yet, stay on POS integrations and best bar inventory software. If you ring Toast, use toast liquor inventory. If you only need a sheet to start counting this weekend, use liquor inventory template. If you need the math for a reorder point, use /par-level-calculator. This URL is for rooms that already ring Clover and still cannot explain the well.

Beer-only taprooms, wine-only rooms, and craft cocktail temples are outside the ICP. A Clover wine bar that never pours a well drink will not get a useful companion loop from this page. A neighborhood sports bar with a four-bottle rail and a Clover handheld will. That split is intentional. We will not stretch Clover liquor inventory to cover every Clover merchant.

Search demand for Clover inventory integration is real. The answer is not another connector brochure. The answer is a finished count, a mapped well, and a Monday list that a closer can finish. That is the page. Authorize Clover on the trial, or read pricing first if you want the plan map before you connect.
